Went for a Texans game. Besides the traffic that you have to expect on game day, the stadium was nice and easy to get into. The staff was polite and helpful with my grandparents. A little difficult figuring out what side the Ford Gate was on to buy the right parking ticket. My spot was also taken by a tailgater.

Came here about a week ago to attend the Rodeo with a few friends during our spring break and we all had a blast. The food was delicious, the games and rides were great, and we loved seeing all the animals too. Everyone was so nice and friendly here too. I can’t wait to go back again for the rodeo one day.

Not our first event at NRG Park, however, we have been impressed with each visit. Our latest was for Monster Jam which is a great family event. Parking is easy and a cashless system. The walk with 5 kids was not bad at all. The security and ticket staff made entering the park easy and safe. If you have never been, be sure to have an approved clear bag as most other bags are not allowed. Upon entering, you are greeted by a number of vendors who are eagerly waiting for you to pull out your credit card. There is more than enough snacks, food, and drinks to purchase along with memorabilia for the event you are attending. As expected, there was a big crowd leaving but it wasn't too bad getting out. We all know Houston traffic can be the worst but that was well away from the stadium.

My family and I didn't like attending the Houston rodeo and fair. It's a major money grabber and waste of time. Many other people may have a different experience but we didn't enjoy the food vendors as corn dogs had no taste, funnel cakes weren't that great and if you enjoy a great tasting street taco you will be disappointed. No taste and overpriced but that is to be expected. The lines to the rides were VERY long as if you were at Disney world..lol..There were WAY too many people in one area. We witnessed a lot of drug deals with white baggies exchanged a lot as we walked around. Inside the building where vendors are to sell hats, horse trailers, and boots it was so crowded it was unbelievable. Again, many things were highly overpriced. Our kids enjoy the 4H animals and the small petting zoo but people were pushing and just being rude. No hospitality in the great state of TEXAS. We went on a Wednesday during our spring break at about 12pm and paid 40 for 2 adults, our 2-year-old was free while we paid 10 for our 3 other kids. 30 dollars for parking. We decided to leave early as I had a feeling something was going to happen, and it did. Hours later there was a shooting in a parking lot next to us. Concert and Rodeo was just too pricey and overrated. I don't recommend. Save your money for a more enjoyable family trip.

Texas smoke house or truth BBQ is okay at best. The shredded brisket for the nachos is awful. It's more just chunks of shredded fat and cold meat. I asked for chives and the manager just argued with me over 5 cents. Avoid this place and eat somewhere else.
