It is located at Rombacher Straße 91, directly on the campus of Aalen University, and offers according to official representation 153 rooms. Photos, Location, and First Impression on Campus
Those looking for photos of the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence usually want to understand how the building looks, where it is located, and what environment shapes everyday life. The most important facts are quickly clear: the residence is located at Rombacher Straße 91 in 73430 Aalen and is directly on the campus of Aalen University. This immediate proximity to the place of study is one of the strongest arguments for the building, as it saves time in everyday life and makes spontaneous trips to the university particularly easy. This is a real advantage, especially for students who do not want to waste much time during lecture periods. Officially, the residence is also described as a campus-close location with parking options. Therefore, the location is not only relevant for walking to the university but also for anyone who wants to organize their studies by bicycle or car. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
The first impression of the building is not only derived from the address but also from the type of living. The Carl-Schneider-Student Residence is not an apartment building with many isolated units, but a classic student residence with a communal character. This is clearly indicated by the official information: on each floor, twelve students live together and share important areas such as showers, toilets, and the communal kitchen. This means that the building stands for a consciously student-oriented living arrangement, where contacts are easier to establish and everyday life is shared more than in a single apartment. Therefore, those looking for photos often also seek atmosphere. And this atmosphere is more practical, communal, and campus-oriented than luxurious or hotel-like. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
For SEO relevance, the location is particularly strong because it covers several search intents: Aalen, Aalen University, campus proximity, student residence, address, and photos. Additionally, the fact that the nearest shopping option is about a 12-minute walk away according to the official site helps with practical classification. The environment is neither secluded nor in the middle of a pure residential area but is clearly oriented towards student life. Anyone living at this location is not just choosing a room but a clear study routine with short distances, manageable organization, and a living arrangement that supports the university rhythm. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
When comparing the residence with other locations in Aalen, its classic shared flat structure stands out. Aalen University lists it as part of the student residences in Aalen and indicates 153 single rooms in 12-person shared flats. Other locations in Aalen focus more on apartments or smaller units; the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence, on the other hand, remains much closer to the traditional student residence idea. This can be an advantage if community, predictable costs, and campus proximity are more important than maximum privacy. This clarity also makes the building easy to classify for visitors, search engines, and potential applicants. ([hs-aalen.de](https://www.hs-aalen.de/?id=957))
Rooms, Rent, and Amenities in the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence
The most important question for any student residence is usually: What do I get for my money? The answer for the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence is relatively transparent. According to Jugendwerk Aalen, the monthly rent starts at 310.00 euros including utilities. Additionally, an outdoor parking space is listed at 30.00 euros per month. A deposit of three net cold rents is also required, and a one-time processing fee of 20.00 euros is mentioned upon contract signing. This clarity is very helpful for students because the cost structure remains understandable and does not rely on many hidden additional costs. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
The rooms themselves are also clearly described. The residence comprises 153 rooms, each measuring 12 m². Thus, the rooms are more compact than large, but functionally designed for student living. The room furnishings include a bed with a mattress, wardrobe, shelf, table, chair, mobile container, sink, roller shutters, and connections for TV, telephone, and internet. This clearly shows that the residence is not focused on elaborate comfort but on reliable everyday usability. Anyone who wants to live simply, affordably, and close to the university during their studies will find a solid basis here that meaningfully connects learning and living. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
Furthermore, the organization of the living arrangement is very clearly thought out. On each floor, twelve students share sanitary facilities, such as showers and toilets, as well as a communal kitchen and a lounge. This form of cohabitation can be a plus for many students because it facilitates exchange and strengthens the feeling of arrival and belonging. At the same time, it is naturally not ideal for every type of person. Those expecting maximum privacy and a fully private bathroom will find such a classic residence less suitable. However, those looking for a student environment with social contact and clear costs find the charm of the building precisely in that. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
The building's amenities extend beyond just the room. The official description mentions a large rooftop terrace, a common room, a study room, table tennis, washing machines and dryers, a garden area, bicycle parking spaces, and parking lots. This is a remarkably wide range of communal and practical functions for a student residence. Such offerings make a difference in everyday life: the rooftop terrace can be a place for breaks and conversations, the study room a retreat for focused work, the washing facilities save external trips, and the bicycle parking spaces fit well with the short city and campus life. Overall, the amenities convey the impression that the building is not just for sleeping but is intended as a functional living space for studying. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
For the search intent “photos,” these amenities are also important because they shape the perception of the building. Visitors want to see or read whether the residence is rather simple, modern, communal, or spacious. The official facts paint a picture of a functional, well-organized student residence with clear communal zones. Especially the combination of rooftop terrace, study room, communal kitchen, and bicycle parking spaces makes the building attractive for students who want to use not only their room but also the infrastructure of the building. The 153 rooms also show that it is a larger residence that still creates manageable living areas through the 12-person structure. This is an important distinction because size does not automatically mean anonymity when the floors are consciously organized as a community. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
Also, regarding applicants with a budget focus, the residence is interesting. The rent starting at 310.00 euros is a clear orientation in the student context, and the additional parking space price of 30.00 euros can be reasonably categorized for drivers. Those traveling by bicycle or public transport benefit from the bicycle parking spaces and the campus proximity. Thus, an offer emerges that covers multiple lifestyles without becoming convoluted. This mix of simplicity, proximity, and reliability makes the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence a typical yet well-positioned residential address in Aalen. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
Community, Everyday Life, and Services in the Residence
A central feature of the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence is the strong community aspect. This is already evident in the structure on the floors, as twelve students share showers, toilets, a communal kitchen, and a lounge. This form of cohabitation automatically creates touchpoints in everyday life: while cooking, doing laundry, studying, meeting in the lounge area, or simply walking down the hall. For many students, this is exactly an added value because a residence is not just a cheap accommodation but also a social starting point in a new city. Especially in the first semesters or when moving to Aalen, this kind of community can help one settle in faster and feel more at home. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
The additional communal areas reinforce this impression. With a common room, study room, rooftop terrace, and garden area, the building offers several zones where living can also become meeting. The study room is particularly interesting because it serves as a practical addition to the room. Not everyone can study equally well in their own space, and especially in residences with multiple residents, a separate place for focused work can be invaluable. The rooftop terrace, on the other hand, creates a place where one can consciously interrupt the residence moment. Such areas make a house lively in everyday life and ensure that cohabitation is supported not only through the kitchen but through multiple usage areas. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
The service elements are also important for everyday life. Washing machines and dryers are part of the official amenities, as are bicycle parking spaces. This may sound unremarkable, but it is crucial for actual living comfort. Those organizing a study or training want to have as few additional trips for routine tasks as possible. If laundry, bicycles, and communal areas are directly usable in the house or on the premises, it saves time and reduces effort. This is precisely where the practical charm of the residence lies: it is not designed for effects but for smooth everyday life. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
It is also noteworthy that the residence is operated by Jugendwerk Aalen and is listed in the general residence overviews for Aalen along with other student residences. This indicates that the building is part of a larger, clearly structured offer for students and trainees in the city. This is helpful for users because responsibilities, application processes, and living environments do not have to be viewed in isolation. Additionally, the official website of Jugendwerk shows that the offer is now aimed not only at students but also at trainees. This broadens the social mix in the building and makes it clear that the residence stands in a broader educational and living context. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
For search queries related to “amenities,” “communal kitchen,” “study room,” or “table tennis,” the residence is therefore very suitable. It meets the expectations of a student house not only in a functional sense but also socially. Those living here choose an environment where everyday logistics and community are closely interconnected. This is neither a pure apartment project nor classic hotel living but a clear residence culture. The structure is transparent, the usage options are diverse, and the location on campus anchors everything directly in university life. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
Parking, Bicycle Parking Spaces, and Connectivity in Aalen
For many interested parties, the question of parking and mobility is crucial. The location of the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence directly on campus is already a significant advantage because it greatly shortens walking distances. Those studying at Aalen University do not have to plan long travel times or complicated bus connections but can consider the campus as a direct neighbor. This is particularly pleasant during lecture periods, group work, and spontaneous appointments. The official description additionally mentions bicycle parking spaces, which underscores its strong suitability for typical student life. In a city like Aalen, the bicycle is often a particularly practical complement to walking, as it allows for flexible connections between campus, residence, and city center. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
There is also a solution for drivers. The residence offers parking spaces, and an outdoor parking space costs 30.00 euros per month according to the official information. This information is important because it shows that the building is not only intended for people without a car. At the same time, mobility remains study-friendly because the location is directly on campus, making it function well in everyday life without a car. Those who own a vehicle can therefore use it additionally without being dependent on it. This is a sensible compromise for students who occasionally want to be mobile but still prefer short distances in everyday life. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
The supply situation is also relevant for daily mobility. The nearest supermarket is about a 12-minute walk away, according to Jugendwerk Aalen. This means: for small shopping trips, one does not have to travel far, and the grocery routine remains manageable. Combined with the bicycle parking spaces and parking options, this creates a location that covers various forms of mobility. Those walking benefit from the campus proximity. Those cycling use the parking spaces. And those who need a car can book a parking space. This variety is particularly remarkable because it makes a residence with rather simple rooms into a very functional overall offer. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
Regarding the connection to the university, it is also noticeable that the official information repeatedly describes the residence as located directly on campus. This phrasing is more important in everyday life than any abstract distance indication because it clearly expresses the immediate proximity. Students do not have to travel to a more distant district to reach their place of study but live in the immediate vicinity of their university. This makes it easier to start in the morning, helps with last-minute appointments, and reduces the time that would otherwise be lost on the way. For many, this is one of the greatest advantages of a campus-close residence. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
In the context of the city of Aalen, this fits well with the general living and study conditions as described by Aalen University. The residence is listed there together with other student housing offers, confirming its role in the local housing market. Aalen is thus not only a university location but also a city with clearly defined student living forms. The Carl-Schneider-Student Residence is one of the well-known addresses within this system and is particularly easy to locate due to its location. Therefore, anyone specifically searching for parking, bicycles, campus, or connectivity will find a coherent overall picture here. ([hs-aalen.de](https://www.hs-aalen.de/?id=957))
Application, Requirements, and Target Group
The Carl-Schneider-Student Residence is not simply a freely available rental property but part of a clearly regulated residence system. The official site of Jugendwerk Aalen describes an application process that runs step by step through a form. For students, among other things, a certificate of enrollment, a guarantee, or proof of a scholarship or proof of the start of studies at Aalen University is required. For trainees, other proofs are mentioned, such as guarantees or income statements. This shows that the residences of Jugendwerk are not only intended for a very narrow circle but are open to various target groups from the education sector. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/en/project/wohnheim-waldcampus/))
For the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence, it is particularly interesting that the website continues to describe the location as a student residence close to campus while keeping the application process transparent. Therefore, those looking for a place should not only look at photos and prices but also keep the formal requirements in mind. These include the usual documents for contract signing as well as information about the desired move-in time and preferred living situation. This structure makes the process manageable and reduces surprises. Especially with residences, this is helpful because demand, as at many university locations, can fluctuate from semester to semester. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/en/project/wohnheim-waldcampus/))
The target group is clearly student-oriented but not exclusively. The Jugendwerk website explicitly points out that the residences are now also open to trainees. This broadens the circle of potential residents and brings different life rhythms into the house. Nevertheless, the basic idea remains the same: affordable, communal, and everyday-oriented living with good access to educational locations. This is a strong argument for anyone learning, studying, or training in Aalen and looking for a structured living environment. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/en/))
Those searching for “Student Residence Aalen Campus,” “Student Residence Aalen,” or “Rombacher Straße 91” often want to understand this relationship between formality and practice. The Carl-Schneider-Student Residence is not just any property but a clearly defined living solution with a cost structure, occupancy logic, and community concept. The advantage lies in the fact that the interested party knows early on what they are getting into. The buildings of Jugendwerk are also part of a larger housing system in Aalen, which includes other residences such as Steinertgasse, Dewangen, or Waldcampus. Thus, the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence can be classified within a local housing context that is attractive to many students. ([hs-aalen.de](https://www.hs-aalen.de/?id=957))
For practical decision-making, this means: those looking for a room should especially consider the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence if campus proximity, calculable costs, and community are important to them. Conversely, those seeking maximum privacy, a fully private apartment, or particularly large spaces may find more suitable alternatives in other Aalen residences. This clear distinction is also valuable from an SEO perspective because it allows searchers to better align their intent. The residence is not everything for everyone, but it is a very solid offer for a very specific target group. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
Why the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence Fits Study and Training in Aalen
The Carl-Schneider-Student Residence fits well with study and training in Aalen primarily because it meets several important needs simultaneously: short distances, clear costs, communal living, and functional amenities. The direct location on the campus of Aalen University saves time and makes the study day more efficient. The 153 rooms show that it is a larger residence that still remains manageable through the 12-person structure. The rent starting at 310.00 euros including utilities makes costs well calculable. And the amenities with rooftop terrace, study room, common room, washing machines, dryers, bicycle parking spaces, and parking lots ensure that everyday life can be organized not only affordably but also practically. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
For students who want to find connections quickly, the communal concept is particularly attractive. The floors with twelve residents, the shared kitchens and sanitary facilities, as well as the additional rooms for meeting and studying create an environment where one does not live alone but is part of a house. This can be an important factor, especially in a new city. At the same time, enough structure remains to focus on what matters: studying, training, and everyday life. The fact that the nearest supermarket is only about a 12-minute walk away further enhances this everyday-oriented character. Everything is organized so that the distances are short and the processes remain simple. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
From the perspective of the city of Aalen, the residence is also a sensible component of the student housing offer. Aalen University lists it together with other residences in the city, and Jugendwerk Aalen operates it as its own project with clear information on price, amenities, and location. Thus, the residence is not just accommodation but part of a whole system that supports students and trainees in Aalen. Those new to the city find a transparent offer with understandable rules and a clear orientation towards campus life. This mix of reliability and proximity makes the location valuable. ([hs-aalen.de](https://www.hs-aalen.de/?id=957))
When combining the search intents behind terms like photos, location, parking, rooms, campus proximity, and amenities, it quickly becomes clear why the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence is so relevant. It provides fairly straightforward answers to all these questions. Those who want to see the pictures are looking for the external impression and the environment. Those who want to understand the location get the direct campus connection. Those who want to know the costs find the rent starting at 310.00 euros and the optional parking space. Those who want to assess everyday life see communal kitchen, study room, rooftop terrace, and bicycle parking spaces. This creates a very clear usage profile. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
In summary, the Carl-Schneider-Student Residence in Aalen is a classic yet very well-positioned residential address: campus-close, communal, price-planned, and equipped with many practical details. It is not a housing project for those seeking maximum individuality but for those who want to organize university or training life as uncomplicated as possible. It is particularly strong for that. And that is precisely why the residence is worthwhile for all those looking for not just a sleeping place but a functional, student living environment in Aalen.
And that is precisely why the residence is worthwhile for all those looking for not just a sleeping place but a functional, student living environment in Aalen. Carl-Schneider-Student Residence | Photos & Location
The Carl-Schneider-Student Residence in Aalen is particularly interesting for many students because it does not feel like an anonymous residential building, but rather like a living space clearly tailored to the everyday life at the university. It is located at Rombacher Straße 91, directly on the campus of Aalen University, and offers according to official representation 153 rooms. The living arrangement is intentionally organized communally: twelve students share showers, toilets, and a communal kitchen with a lounge on each floor. Additionally, there is a large rooftop terrace, a common room, a study room, table tennis, washing machines, dryers, a garden area, bicycle parking spaces, and parking lots. The monthly rent starts at 310.00 euros including utilities; an outdoor parking space costs an additional 30.00 euros per month. The residence is suitable for anyone who wants to live close to campus while benefiting from a clear structure in the building. The location is also practical: the nearest supermarket is about a 12-minute walk away. For inquiries about photos, location, rooms, parking, and amenities, this mix of proximity, community, and functional facilities is at the core of relevance. ([jugendwerk-aalen.de](https://jugendwerk-aalen.de/project/wohnheim-carl-schneider/?utm_source=openai))
For search queries related to “amenities,” “communal kitchen,” “study room,” or “table tennis,” the residence is therefore very suitable. I stayed here for 6 months at 6E. A lot of good memories housed by this building. It has 12 floors with 11 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 4 WCs, and 1 kitchen for each floor. Be careful with the fire alarm. It rings for everything. (for sprays, hot air through the sensor...)

My perfect place ever. Good price for students to live, good cleaning system, and they always take care of the trash because the students need to separate everything.

It's so so, the rent is a bit expensive according to room size and other possibilities.
