Handpan Introductory Workshop in Aalen: Experience sound, find tranquility, and play yourself

On Wednesday, January 13, 2027, the Handpan Academy invites beginners to a musical experience in Aalen with Lu Simeon. In the studio Anna's Bodyforming, Yoga & Relax, a calm event atmosphere is created where warm sounds, intuitive movements, and making music together take center stage.

Gentle sounds as an introduction to music

The Handpan Introductory Workshop provides a playful approach to rhythm, harmony, and melody. No prior musical knowledge or notation skills are required. The harmonious mood of the instrument allows for the creation of initial sound sequences, making the entry into music immediately experiential.

From simple movements to first patterns

Under the expert guidance of Lu Simeon, participants develop first rhythms, patterns, and melodies from simple movements. The event planning focuses on a manageable group size of a maximum of eight people, creating space for individual support, concentrated listening, and a pleasant audience atmosphere.

Making music together and playing intuitively

As the workshop progresses, the individual elements come together to form a small collective piece. Afterwards, there is space for free, intuitive playing and personal discoveries on the instrument. This event experience is aimed at people who want to learn to play the handpan, seek a creative break, or simply want to discover a new soundscape.

Instruments are provided on-site

No personal handpan is needed to participate. The instruments will be provided for the workshop. Afterwards, there is an optional opportunity to explore various handpans, scales, and sound characters for about 30 minutes and discuss questions around purchasing a personal instrument.
