Gangsta-Grandma brings cheeky family entertainment to Aalen
On Sunday, December 27, 2026, the curtain will rise in the theater hall of the KulturBahnhof Aalen for Gangsta-Grandma. This family piece based on the popular children's book by David Walliams combines humorous stage performance, surprising twists, and a heartwarming story about family, courage, and special people.
An unusual grandma with a big secret
At the center is a grandmother who has much more to offer than knitting evenings and home-cooked meals. With wit, pace, and a healthy dose of eccentricity, a turbulent adventure unfolds that appeals to young viewers from six years old as well as their adult companions.
Vibrant theater for the whole family
The ensemble of the Theater der Stadt Aalen brings Walliams's narrative world to the stage with precise timing, pointed dialogue, and versatile stage presence. Theresa Fassbender, Julian Mantaj, Valeria Prautsch, and Alice Katharina Schmidt are part of the cast. The direction is by Julius Max Ferstl, and the set design is by Christian Horn. Dance by Tiziano Damigella adds additional movement and energy to the production.
Humor, tension, and a touching core
Between humorous situations and surprising encounters, a story unfolds about trust, solidarity, and the question of how well we know the people close to us. The production relies on clear characters, varied scenes, and direct communication with the young audience.
Family outing to the KulturBahnhof
The KulturBahnhof Aalen offers the perfect setting for this special concert experience without concert music: a theater performance with a lively live atmosphere, concentrated sound, and immediate audience mood. The theater hall becomes the backdrop for an afternoon where children laugh, cheer, and immerse themselves together with their families in an unusual adventure world.
Conclusion: A theater experience with heart and humor
Gangsta-Grandma promises an entertaining theater afternoon for people aged six and up. Anyone wanting to experience family entertainment with pace, feeling, and surprising moments live should secure their tickets now for December 27, 2026, in Aalen.
