Little Book Dwarfs explore the big world of stories
On Wednesday, December 9, 2026, the City Library of Aalen invites families with children to a loving Book Dwarfs meeting. In the children's library, the little ones will experience a short, age-appropriate time full of pictures, rhymes, songs, and movement together with Mom, Dad, Grandma, or Grandpa.
Reading, wondering, and laughing together
The focus is on an exciting picture book that will be looked at together. Colors, characters, and simple stories ignite curiosity and create a child-friendly access to books. Little children are allowed to listen, show, participate, and express their own reactions.
Playful language promotion for children aged 1 to 4 years
Songs, rhymes, finger and movement games bring language to life. The recurring sounds and movements support linguistic development, promote attention, and strengthen the joy of learning together. The format combines fun with learning, closeness, safety, and valuable family time.
A calm family experience in the City Library
The Book Dwarfs are specifically tailored to children aged 1 to 4 years and take place with the accompaniment of a parent or grandparent. The short duration of about 20 minutes fits well with the attention span of young children. A familiar accompanying person provides security while the children gather their first positive experiences with books and library spaces.
Conclusion: Dipping together into the world of books
The Book Dwarfs give families a relaxed shared time and make language, movement, and picture books playfully experienceable. Anyone who wants to give their child a child-friendly start into the world of reading will experience a warm family experience with children's laughter, curiosity, and small discoveries at the City Library of Aalen.
