Stargazing Picnic at Fachsenfeld Castle

Every mid-August, Earth crosses the Perseid stream, and tiny particles from the depths of space burn up as bright shooting stars in the night sky. At Fachsenfeld Castle, this means: It's time for the Stargazing Picnic again! Pack your picnic blankets and refreshments – we take care of the drinks and a lively accompanying program. In designated areas of the castle park, visitors can make themselves comfortable with their picnic blankets and enjoy the special ambiance as well as a varied accompanying program. On the stage in front of the castle, the duo “Beidsaitig” with Tobias Knecht and Andreas Franzmann will provide a relaxed guitar music atmosphere. In a specially set up planetarium, impressive films about stars and space will be shown. Hans Dietrich will explain the starry sky over Aalen in several presentations. The Astronomical Working Group Aalen sets up telescopes at various locations in the park, allowing fascinating insights into the night sky and its celestial bodies. Actress Margarete Lamprecht presents scenes and readings about stars and constellations. In addition, the managing director of the Fachsenfeld Castle Foundation will guide through the current art exhibition. Starting at 10 PM, we will finally head together into the darker areas of the castle park.
