Ulrich Brauchle – Vivid: Between Line, Surface and Reality
On October 8, 2026, the exhibition Vivid by the Ellwangen artist Ulrich Brauchle will open at the Ostalbkreis District Office in Aalen. The presentation combines new painting and drawing and invites visitors to rediscover familiar visual worlds with focused attention.
A visual play between abstraction and representation
Pencil drawings, oil paintings, and oil pastel works navigate the narrow path between abstraction and representation. Figurative motifs encounter landscapes, while lines, surfaces, and picture carriers become independent carriers of expression. The works appear clear and accessible at first glance, yet reveal a multifaceted visual language upon longer observation.
Artistic intelligence instead of quick answers
Ulrich Brauchle's works rely on careful observation. In a serious yet playful process, the artist shapes and processes his picture carriers until composition, rhythm, and materiality interact in tension. Thus, an exhibition is created that does not depend on spectacular effects but derives its impact from precision, calmness, and intellectual depth.
Opening with introduction and musical accompaniment
The exhibition will be opened on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM. District Administrator Dr. Joachim Bläse will take over the opening, after which Ulrich Brauchle will introduce his presentation. The musical accompaniment will be provided by Ulrich Brauchle and Norbert Botschek. The combination of visual observation, personal introduction, and music creates a special atmosphere for the opening.
