Ulrich Brauchle in Aalen: Visual Art between Drawing and Painting

Ulrich Brauchle: Visual – Painting and Drawing at the Ostalbkreis District Office

The exhibition Visual presents new works by the Ellwangen artist Ulrich Brauchle at the Ostalbkreis District Office in Aalen. Pencil drawings, oil paintings, and oil pastel pictures meet a concentrated visual language between abstraction and representationalism.

Between Line, Surface, and Landscape

Brauchle's works balance on the thin line between figurative representation, landscape, and free form. Lines and surfaces gain their own presence, while the picture carrier visibly appears as a designed surface. The compositions initially seem clear and immediate, but their complexity unfolds with longer, concentrated viewing.

An Exhibition for Close Observation

Visual invites visitors to perceive familiar motifs anew. The works combine graphic precision with painterly tension and create a calm, yet intense atmosphere. Instead of quick visual stimuli, an art experience emerges that relies on perception, rhythm, and the effect of finely set forms.

Art and Music for the Opening

For the opening on October 8, 2026, District Administrator Dr. Joachim Bläse and Ulrich Brauchle will introduce the exhibition. The musical accompaniment will be provided by Ulrich Brauchle and Norbert Botschek. Artist-led tours with Ulrich Brauchle are scheduled for November 19 and December 10, 2026, each at 5:30 PM.

Opening Hours and Visit

The exhibition can be seen until December 31, 2026, at the Ostalbkreis District Office. It is open from Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 12:15 PM. Admission is free.

Conclusion

Ulrich Brauchle's Visual combines painting and drawing into a quiet, impactful exhibition experience. Those who engage with lines, surfaces, landscapes, and the tension between representationalism and abstraction will discover an exhibition at the Ostalbkreis District Office that rewards close observation. Admission in Aalen is free.
