Ulrich Brauchle: Visual – Painting and Drawing in Aalen

With the exhibition Visual, the Ellwangen artist Ulrich Brauchle presents new painting and drawing at the Ostalbkreis district office. The exhibition invites you to look closely and discover the fine transitions between abstraction and representation.

Between Line, Surface, and Landscape

Pencil drawings, oil paintings, and oil pastel images open a focused view of Brauchle's artistic visual language. Figurative motifs and landscapes appear alongside and with each other. Lines and surfaces develop their own tension, while the visible painterly stroke gives the works an immediate, open effect.

A Quiet Play with Complex Forms

The works appear clear and accessible at first glance, but unfold their depth with longer observation. Between figurative suggestion and free composition, a visual balance emerges that resembles musical rhythms: forms repeat, set accents, and enter into a quiet synchronization.

Artistic Perspective with Extensive Experience

Ulrich Brauchle studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and then history at the University of Tübingen. His work includes painting, drawing, and printmaking. In 2003, he received the Felix Hollenberg Prize for his etching work. Since 1999, Brauchle has lived and worked in Ellwangen and has been a member of the Baden-Württemberg Artists' Association since 2015.
