Ulrich Brauchle: Visual – Painting and Drawing at the Ostalbkreis District Office
With the exhibition Visual, the Ellwangen artist Ulrich Brauchle presents new works from painting and drawing at the Ostalbkreis District Office. The exhibition leads into a visual world where nature, landscape, and figurative forms connect with abstract design elements.
Between Abstraction and Representation
Brauchle's works navigate a thrilling line: figurative elements appear alongside landscapes, clear lines meet open spaces. Pencil drawings, oil paintings, and oil pastel works develop a visual language that appears calm and accessible at first glance, yet reveals a complex inner structure upon concentrated observation.
Lines, Surfaces, and Color in Dialogue
The image carrier becomes an active component of the composition. Lines set accents, surfaces create balance, and color thickens the atmosphere. In this orchestration of form, tone, and material, a concert experience for the eyes emerges: quiet in expression, precise in design, and lasting in effect.
An Artist with Local and National Presence
Ulrich Brauchle studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and also engaged with history, art history, and theology. For his graphic art, he received, among others, the Felix Hollenberg Prize. His works are in public and private collections, including the Library of Congress in Washington, the Bodleian Library in Oxford, and the Graphische Sammlung of the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart.
Art Mediation and Special Atmosphere
The exhibition invites visitors to explore the transition between representation and abstraction themselves. A calm exhibition atmosphere, differentiated picture surfaces, and the concentrated presence of the works make Visual a special art event in Aalen. Artist-led tours with Ulrich Brauchle are also planned as part of the exhibition.
Conclusion
Visitors can expect an exhibition full of quiet tension, precise drawing, and atmospheric painting. Those who wish to experience regional art with sophisticated visual language should discover Visual live at the Ostalbkreis District Office.
