Ulrich Brauchle shows the quiet power of the illustrative in Aalen
With the exhibition Illustrative, the artist Ulrich Brauchle from Ellwangen invites you to the Ostalbkreis district office in Aalen starting on October 8, 2026. His new works move between painting and drawing, between recognizable figures and open abstraction.
Lines, surfaces, and the tension of the unspoken
Pencil drawings, oil paintings, and oil pastel paintings shape the exhibition. Brauchle shapes and works the image carrier in a concentrated play with lines, surfaces, and color spaces. Figurative elements encounter landscapes, as familiar forms slowly transform into an independent visual language.
Between figuration and abstraction
Illustrative thrives on the conscious gaze. The works appear clear and accessible at first glance, but unfold their depth with prolonged observation. Abstraction and figuration do not stand as oppositions alongside one another but combine to form a compelling composition with a calm yet highly complex effect.
Opening with introduction and musical accompaniment
The exhibition will be opened on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Ostalbkreis district office. District Administrator Dr. Joachim Bläse will take over the opening, followed by Ulrich Brauchle introducing his works. The musical accompaniment will be provided by Ulrich Brauchle and Norbert Botschek.
Experience art and observe closely
The presentation offers a concentrated art experience for all who wish to discover contemporary painting, drawing, and regional art. Additionally, artist-guided tours with Ulrich Brauchle will take place on November 19 and December 10, 2026, each at 5:30 PM.
The exhibition in the Ostalbkreis district office connects the regional art scene, personal introduction, and a challenging engagement with visual language. Visitors can expect a calm, intensive encounter with works that develop their impact from careful observation.
