Ulrich Brauchle: Illustrative – Painting and Drawing in Aalen

In the Ostalbkreis District Office, the exhibition Illustrative invites visitors to closely observe new works by Ellwangen artist Ulrich Brauchle. The presentation combines pencil drawings, oil paintings, and oil pastel works into a versatile position between abstraction and representational art.

Between Line, Surface and Landscape

Ulrich Brauchle's visual worlds tread a fine line: figurative motifs encounter landscape impressions, clear lines meet painted surfaces. The image carrier becomes not just a surface but an active component of the composition. Lines and surfaces develop their own visual language, which fully unfolds only through calm, attentive viewing.

An Exhibition for Concentrated Viewing

Illustrative appears accessible at first glance while simultaneously revealing a multilayered artistic depth. The works connect drawing precision with a painterly atmosphere. Between orchestration, rhythm, and balance, a silent interplay emerges, guiding the gaze back to details, transitions, and open forms.
