Ulrich Brauchle shows the exhibition Illustrative in Aalen
At the District Office Ostalbkreis in Aalen, the exhibition Illustrative invites visitors to rediscover painting and drawing with a concentrated gaze. The Ellwangen artist Ulrich Brauchle combines pencil drawings, oil paintings, and oil pastel works into a visual language between abstraction and representation.
Between Line, Surface, and Figure
The works move on a thrilling edge: figurative motifs encounter landscapes, clear forms meet open pictorial spaces. Lines and surfaces acquire their own dynamics and develop a quiet, yet intense presence in interplay.
Artistic Intelligence instead of Quick Answers
Ulrich Brauchle's works do not reveal themselves at a glance. The picture carrier is consciously shaped and worked on, while the orchestration of contours, surfaces, and color sounds constantly redirects the gaze. The exhibition relies on the decelerated live atmosphere of viewing and offers a concert experience for the eyes: calm at first impression, multifaceted in effect.
Exhibition at the District Office Ostalbkreis
The presentation can be seen from October 8 to December 31, 2026, at the District Office Ostalbkreis. The opening hours also offer time for a visit during the week: Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 to 16:00, Thursday from 8:00 to 18:00, and Friday from 8:00 to 12:15. Additionally, Ulrich Brauchle will personally guide through the exhibition on November 19 and December 10, each at 17:30.
Conclusion: Illustrative Depth
Visitors can expect an exhibition that sharpens the gaze and brings familiar categories of representation and abstraction into flow. Those who experience drawing, contemporary painting, and the quiet intensity of concentrated art observation should discover Ulrich Brauchle's Illustrative live at the District Office Ostalbkreis in Aalen.
