Ulrich Brauchle showcases the quiet strength of the illustrative in Aalen

With the exhibition Illustrative, the artist Ulrich Brauchle from Ellwangen invites to a focused encounter with new painting and drawing at the district office of Ostalbkreis. The exhibition combines pencil drawings, oil paintings, and oil pastel paintings into a multifaceted visual world between abstraction and representation.

Between line, surface, and narrative depth

Brauchle's works unfold their impact not in a quick passing. Figurative motifs meet landscapes, lines condense into shapes, surfaces begin to speak. What initially appears clear and immediate opens up complex visual spaces full of tension and quiet movement upon longer contemplation.

A visual language for focused seeing

The image carrier is shaped and processed in a conscious play with design elements. Drawing and painting enter into a dialogue, where contrast, rhythm, and composition direct perception. Thus, an exhibition is created that invites its visitors to slow down and sharpens the view for nuances.

Opening with artist talk and musical accompaniment

The exhibition was opened on October 8, 2026, at the district office of Ostalbkreis. District Administrator Dr. Joachim Bläse took over the opening, followed by Ulrich Brauchle introducing his works. The musical accompaniment was provided by Ulrich Brauchle and Norbert Botschek. The connection of visual contemplation, personal introduction, and music creates a special atmosphere between the vernissage and a vibrant artistic experience.

Artist-guided tours during the exhibition period

Those who want to deepen the visual language of the artist can experience Ulrich Brauchle during guided tours on Thursday, November 19, and Thursday, December 10, 2026, each at 5:30 PM. The exhibition can be seen until December 31, 2026, during the opening hours of the district office.

Conclusion: Art that opens its space only when observed

Illustrative is aimed at all who want not just to observe painting and drawing but to experience it intensively. Between apparent simplicity, precise composition, and great inner calm, a sustainable concert experience for the eyes arises - an exhibition that enriches Aalen with a special cultural accent.
