Ulrich Brauchle: Illustrative – Painting and Drawing in Aalen

At the Ostalbkreis District Office, the exhibition Ulrich Brauchle – Illustrative opens a view into a poetic connection between painting and drawing. The showcase presents works by the artist living in Ellwangen and invites you to perceive landscape, color, line, and atmosphere from new perspectives.

Between Landscape and Abstraction

Ulrich Brauchle's artistic journey leads from observed nature into open, multilayered image spaces. Landscape serves not merely as a motif but as a starting point for an independent visual language. Color fields, lines, and drawing structures engage in a dialog filled with tension and leave room for personal associations.

Line, Surface, and Inner Movement

The exhibition makes visible how closely Brauchle's painting and drawing are interconnected. His works thrive on sensitive composition, concentrated line guidance, and a finely balanced interplay between figuration and abstraction. In the alternation between density and openness, images arise that seem calm while bearing a palpable inner movement.

Artistic Expertise from Ellwangen

The artist, born in 1971 in Ellwangen, studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and history, art history, and theology at the University of Tübingen. Brauchle has received, among other awards, the Felix Hollenberg Prize for Printmaking and has served as a visiting professor and lecturer at renowned summer academies. His works have been exhibited in galleries, art associations, and exhibition houses in southern Germany and beyond.

A Quiet, Intense Exhibition Experience

The presentation at the Ostalbkreis District Office offers a concentrated encounter with contemporary art. Visitors experience an exhibition not focused on quick effects, but rather on precise seeing, atmospheric nuances, and the sensual effect of color and drawing. The regular opening hours allow for flexible visits during the exhibition period.

Conclusion

Ulrich Brauchle – Illustrative promises an inspiring encounter with painting and drawing, where landscape transforms into color, line, and feeling.
