Ulrich Brauchle presents Illustrative at the Ostalbkreis District Office

On Thursday, October 8, 2026, Ellwangen artist Ulrich Brauchle will open his exhibition Illustrative at the Ostalbkreis District Office in Aalen. The opening will begin at 7:00 PM. Everyone interested is invited to discover new paintings and drawings at the intersection of abstraction and representation.

Between Line, Surface, and Figure

Brauchle's works lead into a visual world where pencil drawings, oil paintings, and oil pastel paintings engage in a concentrated dialogue. Figurative elements meet landscapes, while lines and surfaces become independent carriers of expression. The visual language initially appears clear and immediate, but upon closer examination, unfolds a multifaceted complexity.

Artistic Intelligence Instead of Quick Answers

Illustrative relies on precise observation. The image carrier is not only understood as a substrate but is shaped and worked on in the artistic process. This creates an exciting interplay of abstraction, representation, materiality, and composition. The exhibition invites viewers to perceive familiar motifs anew and develop their own interpretations.

Opening with Introduction and Musical Accompaniment

The exhibition will be opened by District Administrator Dr. Joachim Bläse. Afterwards, Ulrich Brauchle will personally introduce his work and the exhibition. Ulrich Brauchle and Norbert Botschek will provide musical accompaniment. This connects the focused atmosphere of artwork contemplation with an immediate live atmosphere and a special cultural opening moment.

Exhibition Until the End of December 2026

The exhibition will be on display until December 31, 2026, at the Ostalbkreis District Office. Opening hours are Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:15 PM.
