Aalen in Black and White: Seeing a City Anew
The opening of Black/White - Views of a City takes place on October 15, 2026, at the Konrad Cafe Bar, presenting a photographic exploration of Aalen. Dr. Alexander Hoch focuses on quiet alleys, prominent roofs, and the interplay of light and shadow.
Photography between Everyday Life and Aesthetic Experience
The exhibition showcases familiar locations from unusual perspectives. Black-and-white photography concentrates perception on forms, lines, contrasts, and spatial impact. Facades gain graphic precision, shadows structure the urban architecture, and seemingly incidental situations acquire new visual significance.
Views of a City as a Work Reflection
Alexander Hoch's photographs invite a slow contemplation of the artwork. The images draw attention to details often overlooked in the daily stroll through Aalen. Between a documentary gaze and artistic condensation, a multifaceted city portrait emerges, making urban identity tangible through atmosphere, geometry, and light.
Exhibition Atmosphere at Konrad Cafe Bar
The opening connects cultural encounter with a focused aesthetic experience. Within the framework of the exhibition, visitors encounter Aalen as a photographic landscape: reduced, high in contrast, and open to personal memories. The art experience is aimed at photography enthusiasts as well as anyone wishing to discover their city with new eyes.
Conclusion: Experience Aalen from a Different Perspective
Black/White - Views of a City transforms familiar streets, roofs, and quiet corners into independent image spaces.
