Black and White: Experience Aalen from New Perspectives
With the exhibition Black/White – Views of a City, Stefanie Winter invites you to a special visual encounter at the KONRAD Café & Bar in Aalen on October 22, 2026. The opening starts at 7:00 PM and places the city in a concentrated imagery between contrast, light, and urban perception.
A City Between Light and Shadow
Black and white are among the most original means of expression in visual arts. They reduce the visible world to light and dark, contour and surface, closeness and distance. In the representation of a city, this leads to a precise examination of the work: facades, street spaces, and familiar views do not appear as mere documentation but as atmospherically condensed city images.
Aesthetic Experience in Urban Space
The exhibition promises an art experience that sharpens the view of Aalen. Where color recedes, structure, rhythm, and spatial effect gain significance. The eye follows lines, discovers architectural forms, and perceives the city as a visual fabric. The exhibition atmosphere at the KONRAD Café & Bar combines cultural encounters with an open, urban environment.
Cultural Education through Accurate Perception
The presentation opens up a low-threshold access to art observation. Black-and-white compositions foster attention to light guidance, perspective, materiality, and photographic or graphic design. At the same time, the exhibition poses a familiar art-historical question: How does reality change when color is absent and perception is concentrated on contrasts?
Opening at KONRAD Café & Bar
As an event location, the KONRAD Café & Bar combines a café, bar, concept store, and cultural offerings in the heart of Aalen. Its central location on Reichsstädter Straße provides a fitting framework for the opening and discussion about art, city history, and personal memories of urban places.
The exhibition Black/White – Views of a City offers a concentrated aesthetic experience and invites you to rediscover Aalen with sharpened eyes. Art enthusiasts should attend the opening live, experience the visual impact in space, and view familiar city vistas from an unfamiliar perspective.
