Aalen in Black and White: Seeing the City with New Eyes
The exhibition Black/White – Views of a City invites you to rediscover Aalen beyond familiar paths. Photographer Dr. Alexander Hoch focuses on quiet alleys, distinctive roofs, and the exciting interplay of light and shadow.
Quiet Alleys, Distinctive Roofs
The photographs show urban spaces that many people pass by in their daily lives. By concentrating on black and white, lines, surfaces, contrasts, and architectural details become particularly clear. The city view transforms into a careful photographic examination.
Light and Shadow as Artistic Language
The exhibition makes visible how much a city is shaped by the effects of light, perspective, and composition. Bright facades, dark spaces, and graphic roof shapes create their own visual tension. Thus, a concentrated artistic experience arises between documentary photography and aesthetic experience.
Aalen in a Different Light
Dr. Alexander Hoch directs attention to familiar places and gives them a new presence through the photographic gaze. Black-and-white photography reduces perception to essential structures, thus opening up an intense engagement with space, architecture, and urban experience.
Conclusion: Visitors can expect an atmospheric exhibition with special views of Aalen, sharpening the perception of everyday places. Those who want to experience their city from a new perspective and discover photography as a precise form of perception should visit this exhibition live at Konrad Cafe Bar.
